Phase 1 of reopening for Northern Virginia has begun!
This Sunday, June 7th, we will open at 10:00AM (live streaming will start at 10:15AM). This time will be for adults and children 12 and over as there will be no children’s church or worship provided that day.
We look forward to reopening for our regular service including worship and childcare, the following Sunday, June 14th.

We are looking forward to connecting with you in person soon – in the meantime, we hope you stay connected through the various online zoom meetings and groups that are available.

    Dear Friends,

We here at Free Life Church are working hard to keep up with the frequent updates and recommendations from the nation’s leaders regarding coronavirus. There have been many conversations among our pastors about what is best for us to do, how we can help our community, and how we can remain a light of hope by continuing to spread the message of God’s love.

We care for you and want nothing more than to maintain community as much as possible, especially during times of trial. However, we also feel a commitment to honor the request of President Trump and Governor Northam, and to love our neighbors by doing our part to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

For this reason, the decision was made to suspend all church activities until further notice, but we are working on ways to connect online!

Our pastors and staff are in frequent communication during this evolving situation and will announce further updates as plans develop. We are looking into ways to leverage our technology resources to provide weekly messages in preparation for an extended closure. A video message from Clayton will be released later this week which will address some questions many have been asking.

Please, make sure to be subscribed to our main communication channels so you are always up to date, and if you need help connecting to these channels, please let us know by calling us at the church number and we will gladly help you.

The church office is operating with irregular hours to allow our staff the flexibility to manage the needs of family while maintaining continuity of operations. We are here for you and want to assist you in any way we can. We are monitoring email and voicemails closely. If you or someone you know within the FLC community needs assistance in any area, please contact us at 703-443-1044 or flcadmin@freelifechurchva.com.

We encourage our entire community to be in prayer for the nation’s leaders, for those impacted by the current situation in various ways (illness, financial hardship, loneliness, fear, among others), and most of all for an end to the spread of coronavirus.

Further updates to our schedule of church activities will be posted on our website and social media as plans develop.

  • UPDATE: After further consideration the leadership of Free Life Church has made the decision to cancel our service on Sunday, March 15.

Plans for future services will be announced as they develop.
President Trump has called a national day of prayer on Sunday, March 15. We would encourage everyone to be in prayer for our nation’s leaders, for those impacted by the current situation, and most of all for an end to the spread of coronavirus.
For any questions or concerns, please contact us at flcadmin@freelifechurchva.com
  • **Parts of this update have been omitted due to the changing circumstances.

“For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)

We are not powerless in the situation. We serve a great God and He has given us tools with which to fight our battles. We encourage you to treat this as an opportunity to take extra time to pray, to worship our King, and to remember that He sits enthroned above it all.

Love God. Love one another. Be aware of God’s great love for us.  Be ready to assist those in need.

There are no changes or cancellations to our regular weekly activities at this time. Should the need for a cancellation arise, we will notify the community through our usual channels of email, text, and social media.  Please email flcadmin@freelifechurchva.com to be signed up for our weekly email. Still, neither illness, nor the threat of illness should cause us to panic, but to trust God. The Lord remains our refuge and strength, “an ever-present help in trouble” (Ps. 46:1). To trust in the Lord amid trouble is to experience and bear witness to the power of Christ. He has a plan and purpose for your life and will complete the work He has begun.

    A Sound Mind

On a practical level, we encourage you to exercise wisdom as you make the decision to attend services in person or not.  If you are at increased risk, if you or your children are ill, remain at home, allow time for rest/recovery and follow recommended guidelines.

As we walk this out together, we encourage you to have faith in the One who will be glorified in all things.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your concerns to God.”  (Philippians 4:6 )

    Please be in prayer for:

    • Wisdom for our national and local leaders as they guide our community through this time
    • Healthcare providers and caregivers
    • Those in our community with limited resources who are likely to be highly impacted by the current situation

As always, we welcome you to contact us via email at flcadmin@freelifechurchva.com
